MDI Announces Board Member; Enters Partnership

MDI Inc., San Antonio, appointed James M. Vandevere to its Board of Directors. Vandevere is currently chairman and CEO of Stratis Authority, Orlando, Fla., a holding company specializing in the security market.

“[Vandevere] has a keen understanding of both the security industry and the information technology market, which should further strengthen our unified IP-based offerings and convergence leadership in the future,” said J. Collier Sparks, MDI CEO and board member.

Stratis Authority is part of a $1 billion firm specializing in identifying and investing in businesses. The firm also announced a business partnership and strategic financial agreement with MDI.

Stratis Authority, which is founder and developer of the Learn Safe program designed to address the security issues facing school systems, selected MDI as a provider of security products for the program.
