Convergint Technologies, Schaumburg, Ill., was named the fastest growing company in Chicago for 2007 byCrain’s Chicago Businessmagazine.

Convergint Technologies, a North American service-based organization that designs, services, and installs building systems including electronic security, fire alarm and life safety, and building automation systems, reported revenues of $82 million in 2006, a 16,501 percent increase from 2001. Convergint also ranked 10th on this year’sSDMTop Systems Integrators Report (see July, page 54).

Companies eligible for the Crain’s Fast 50 list must be at least six years old and have had at least $30 million in 2006 revenues. Convergint customers include Boeing, United Center, Capital One, Schlumberger, and Hyatt. The integrator company employs more than 500 individuals in 17 offices throughout the United States and Canada. The firm projects sales of in excess of $100 million in 2007.
