HID Global’s next generation access control platform introduces a new, portable secure identity model that provides advanced security and performance functionality while enabling the use of virtual credentials on mobile devices. The new model is based on a Secure Identity Object™ SIO data structure that HID demonstrated on iCLASS® SIO-Enabled™ (SE) access control credentials at ISC West last month. Readers and credentials based on the iCLASS SE platform will be the first HID access control products to operate under the company’s Trusted Identity Platform™ (TIP) framework, which creates a secure and trusted boundary within which all cryptographic keys governing system security can be delivered with end-to-end privacy and integrity. Secure Identity Objects can be deployed on a wide range of identity devices including iCLASS credentials, other fixed function technology and more.
