ADT Security Services, Boca Raton, Fla., launched ADT Pulse Interactive Business Solutions, the latest innovation in helping small and medium-sized business (SMB) owners control the security and operations of their businesses. ADT Pulse for SMBs offers flexibility to help owners, operators and managers connect and control their business from anywhere via Web-enabled devices, such as a smart phone, tablet or laptop computer. The company stated ADT Pulse Interactive Business Solutions was highly successful in test markets with customers and is now available nationwide.

ADT Pulse Interactive Business Solutions is a comprehensive, proactive monitoring and control system that helps protect employees and customers, improve operational efficiency, and lower business costs, the company said. ADT Pulse Interactive Business Solutions comes in three flexible packages: Premise Control, Enterprise View and Total Productivity. Each package is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each business owner. ADT Pulse has automatic text alerts functionality based on customized information users want to manage and know in real-time, such as if a business doesn’t open on time or if someone accesses an “off limits” storage room. Users can also view on-site secure video feeds remotely or be alerted if a freezer’s temperature rises overnight.

“I love the flexibility of being able to use any web-enabled device to remotely log in and view events in our five stores that currently have the ADT system installed,” said Jason Feng, operations manager, Wireless-To-Go. “I can easily use the same web-enabled device to remotely turn lights on or off or change temperature controls. ADT Pulse is paying for itself monthly through energy cost savings alone.”

ADT stated this new solutions responds to the evolution of small business security over the past 20 years. The company noted that though once focused merely on intrusion detection, today’s connected business owner demands more. Internet-connected smart phones and tablets, combined with wireless technology, help make it possible for business owners to improve energy management, climate control and overall business safety.

“ADT Pulse for SMB helps give our customers more timely control of their businesses,” said Steve Shapiro, group director product management, ADT North America Residential/Small Business. “When it comes to home and business security, no other company has the experience of ADT. Connectivity and interactivity are driving the way people manage their businesses and with ADT Pulse we extend security beyond the burglar alarm.”
