Product allows for Z-wave control

Elk Products announced a Z-Wave pathway product called the ELK-M1XSLZW. This product interacts with Leviton’s VRC0P-1LW (vizia rf+3) module and allows the ELK M1 Cross Platform Control to access and control Z-Wave certified products including the wireless locks from Black and Decker (Kwikset), Yale and Schlage, both locally and remotely. The M1 uses its rules-based engine and user interfaces to send and receive commands from Z-Wave devices to adjust lighting, thermostats and more. Amanda Mancuso of Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. stated, “We are pleased our serial interface enabled Elk to develop their advanced Z-Wave interface which will now provide access to Leviton lighting controls and automation products as well as other Z-wave partners including Black and Decker and Schlage.”
