Video Storage Servers Feature Next Generation Platforms
BCDVideo announced the Performance V8 Series of IP video storage servers. Built on HP’s Generation 8 server platforms, the Performance V8 Series features Intel’s E5-2400 and E-2600 chipsets, and runs more than 200 percent faster than its predecessor, according to the company. Features include memory mirroring, embedded quad-port adapter, up to 1,200 W redundant power supplies, support for high-end graphics adapters and HP’s ILO4. The Performance V8 BCDV350p comes standard with a robust E5-2600 processor and support for up to 768 MB of system memory. With 18 available drive bays, the Performance V8 Tower can drive up to 36 TB of dual-port 6G SAS video storage. The enterprise-class Performance V8 BCDV380e is a 2U rack system with internal video storage capabilities of up to 42 TB. As with the V8 Tower series, the BCDV380e utilizes 6G SAS technology, providing double the bandwidth of a SATA drive. The BCDV380e features advanced memory functions, including mirroring, lockstep and online spare. The BCDVideo Performance V8 series is available through Anixter Inc.
