Datacard Group, Minnetonka, Minn., a provider of secure ID and card personalization solutions, announced that it donated more than $17,700 to the Pink Ribbon Foundation supporting the fight against breast cancer.

To help support the cause, Datacard Group developed a Limited Edition Pink Datacard®SD260™ card printer.  Offering high-quality printing capabilities for card personalization and issuance, the one-of-a-kind printerwas sold to companies around the globe from October 2011 to March 2012.

Datacard Group then donated a portion of the proceeds from each printer sold to the Pink Ribbon Foundation — a foundation that helps fund projects and charities around the globe for people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer.  In addition, Datacard Group also held an employee fundraising event that also helped raise money for the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

“The Pink Ribbon Foundation is such a wonderful organization and we are very happy to make a contribution to them,” said Todd Wilkinson, chief executive officer for Datacard Group.  “Breast cancer affects so many individuals — whether it is directly or indirectly — and we are honored to help support them in any way we can.”

Datacard Group offers Secure Issuance Anywhere™, which provides customers the flexibility to issue cards and credentials anytime, anywhere, with complete security.  This integrated platform includes scalable and flexible hardware, software, supplies and global support — combining central issuance or instant issuance, as well as emerging mobile issuance into a single, integrated solution.
