PCI Express Serial Card Provides Powered RS232 Connections
StarTech.com has released its PEX2S952PW, a PCI Express Serial Card featuring selectable 5V/12V power output to enable users to configure the voltage output of RS232 (DB9) serial ports based on the requirements on connected devices. Industrial machinery, POS equipment, kiosks, ATMs and surveillance cameras are among the devices that commonly use RS232 connections. The PEX2S952PW features two high-speed RS232 serial ports with data transfer rates of up to 920 Kbps, both low- and full-profile brackets, high-performance Dual Channel Osfor 16C950 UART and ESD surge protection on all pins.
