BCDVideo released the BCD4540V IP video server offering up to 180TB of IP video storage housed in a 5U rack-mount chassis. As part of the Nova Series of IP video servers, the BCD4540V, code-named “Big Bertha,” incorporates all BCDVideo standard features, including 6G SAS IP video storage, solid-state drives (SSD) for the operating system and customers’ choice of video management system, fault-redundant architecture, and system scalability. The Big Bertha has been beta-tested in a number of key environments that require long retention times of the stored video.
