ISC East booth No. 354 & 451 — Telguard, a provider of cellular alarm communications and interactive services, and Videofied®, a provider of wireless, self-powered security solutions, announced at ISC East an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partnership to accelerate adoption of video verification. Under the agreement, Telguard will private label Videofied’s award-winning indoor video verification platform and combine it with Telguard’s cellular service to allow security dealers to upgrade new and existing security systems to deliver prioritized response via true video verification.

The Telguard video verification solution sends a video clip of the incident to the central station for immediate review and dispatch. The central station operator essentially becomes a virtual eyewitness allowing police to respond to a video verified alarm as a crime in progress.

“We are excited to partner with Videofied and bring to dealers not only a new RMR stream, but also an important way to distinguish themselves from their competition,” said Shawn Welsh, vice president of Marketing and Business Development, Telular. “An affordable, turnkey video verification solution adds tremendous value to any security system, particularly those in the commercial market, by delivering priority response and reducing false alarms.”

Dealers can purchase the solution in the form of a starter kit, which includes a Telguard Video Verification Hub (TG-V2H) and an indoor wireless Telguard MotionViewer® (TG-IMV) with integrated camera and motion sensor. Available through security distributors, the TG-V2H Video Verification Starter Kit is designed to work with any security panel so existing customers can be upgraded to video verification quickly and easily. Up to 24 MotionViewers® can be supported per system. The sensor/cameras are all wireless and battery powered and the TG-IMVs arm or disarm when the host panel is armed or disarmed for a seamless customer experience.

The TG-V2H will be on display at ISC East 2013, November 20-21 at the Javits Center, NY in Telguard’s booth, number 354, and Videofied’s booth, number 451.

“Affordable monitoring costs are crucial to dealers seeking to offer priority response. Together with Telguard and our preferred indoor monitoring partners, we can provide video verification monitoring at the same cost as a traditional alarm,” said Keith Jentoft, president, RSI Video Technologies. “By partnering with a strong company like Telguard, known for exceptional customer service, we bring to the security industry an easy, secure and robust way to meet the demand for video verification in an age when customers expect immediate alarm response.”

In addition to sending video to the central station, the business owner or other end user can remotely access the MotionViewer® cameras via a smartphone app to request video clips or snapshot photos.

The TG-V2H Video Verification Starter Kit will be available in January 2014 through all major security distributors. Security dealers can activate the TG-V2H kit with Telguard viawww.TelguardOnline.com or with Telguard’s participating central station resellers. The TG-V2H activations will apply to the volume price discounts offered to Telguard Advantage Program (TAP) dealers. For information, visit www.Telguard.com/Videofied.
