Vienna, Va.-based Alarm.com, a platform solution for the connected home, announced availability of its Amazon Fire TV app. It allows Alarm.com’s millions of users to quickly view live HD video streams from around their home.

With up to four simultaneous video streams, Alarm.com’s Fire TV app makes the television the latest interface for smart home technology, the company described.

Alarm.com offers a broad range of video camera options, with secure offsite storage, smart clip capture, activity-triggered video alerts and continuous recording. Now, Alarm.com users with Fire TV can quickly see what’s happening all around their property from the comfort of their couch. All-weather outdoor options and night-vision features make it easy to see who’s knocking on the door at any time of day, keep an eye on the kids playing in the backyard, and check-in on a sleeping infant.

“Alarm.com is a leader in creating meaningful smart home interactions and experiences for our millions of users,” said Daniel Kerzner, Alarm.com’s chief product officer. “The television is a natural interface for our video monitoring service and our Fire TV app creates a convenient new way to check on things around the home.”

The Fire TV app makes the television the latest addition to the growing list of available platforms for Alarm.com’s Smart Home Security and home automation services. Alarm.com said that it pioneered the introduction of smart home mobile apps for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, as well as Windows Phone, and launched an app for Apple Watch last month. In addition, services can be accessed through a mobile-ready Web interface.

Alarm.com’s services are available exclusively through a network of professional dealers. The app for Fire TV requires an Amazon.com account, a Fire TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick, a TV with an HDMI port and an Alarm.com account with supported video cameras.
