Vector Security, No. 8 on the SDM 100, acquired Pelican Security Network Inc., a regional alliance of independent life safety and security services providers, fire protection companies, alarm dealers and systems integrators based in Baton Rouge, La.

The employees and more than 17,000 customers of the Pelican Security Network will become part of Vector Security effective September 1, 2015.

Amy Varisco will lead the newly formed Gulf District, which includes the Pelican Security Network of companies, for Vector Security.
