The Electronic Security Association’s (ESA) dealer toolkit for members provides easy-to-implement resources to attract and recruit talent to their businesses, as well as information on how to retain quality employees. ESA members can access the dealer toolkit using their ESAweb login credentials.

ESA unveiled its toolkit for ESA members as part of an overall workforce development initiative the association has undertaken. The toolkit is full of easy-to-implement resources for members, designed to take the hard work out of developing employee retention and recruitment programs.

Within the toolkit ESA members will find advice about where to look for talented new candidates, compensation benchmarking data, an exciting industry recruitment video that can be used on their website and at job fairs etc., as well as useful information pertaining to company-offered benefits and bonus programs.

“Our industry advisory group requested that the association address the workforce challenges that our members are facing and I’m very proud of the product we have developed and will continue to build upon moving forward,” said ESA executive director and CEO Merlin Guilbeau. “I strongly encourage every ESA member company to visit the toolkit and utilize the resources and how-to’s that have been developed. You will not be disappointed!”

The site also features downloadable co-branded material for companies to attract talent. Dealers can download a slate of print ads and flyers and drop in their own company logo and contact information. The site also has advice on best retention practices to help companies stay competitive and attractive while encouraging existing employees to remain loyal. In addition, dealers will find starter job descriptions they can customize to create job descriptions for their businesses.

Also available are a number of how-to articles covering a wide array of topics on recruitment, including guides on posting to job boards, finding and utilizing job fairs, setting up limited partnerships, establishing employee referral programs and leveraging social media to attract potential employees.

ESA members can to access the toolkit by logging in to www.ESAweb.org/toolkit.

For more information about the toolkit, ESA has made available on their website a recording of a September 23 webinar that walks viewers through the toolkit and explains its topics, uses and benefits.
