Altronix is further expanding its line of eBridge Ethernet over Coax (EoC) solutions at ISC West. New additions include the eBridge8E Managed EoC receiver with integral PoE+ switch. Also on display is the new compact eBridge1ST 25Mbps single-port hardened transceiver.

“We are continually adding to our portfolio of eBridge EoC solutions which facilitate the use and upgrade of existing coax infrastructure to deploy the latest IP cameras and devices,” said Alan Forman, president, Altronix Corporation. “These new eBridge EoC solutions seamlessly accommodate PoE (IEEE 802.3af) and PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) cameras, accessories and access control devices which dramatically lowers total cost of ownership when using existing cabling.”

The eBridge8E managed EoC receiver with integral PoE+ switch features a 1Gb uplink and eight ports for deploying IP cameras and devices up to 500 m at 25 Mbps without repeaters. It provides a maximum output of 240W, 30W per port full power, and includes battery charging for systems that require back-up power. The eBridge8E also incorporates Altronix’s LINQ Technology, which allows users to monitor, control and report power from anywhere.

The new compact single-port eBridge1ST transmits data up to 500 meters at 25Mbps without repeaters and is compatible with Altronix eBridge one-, four-, eight- or 16-port receivers. Its small footprint is ideal for installation in tight housings and enclosures.
