ADS Security Continues Growth in Florida With Latest Acquisition

ADS Security (ADS), a regional electronic security and automation company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., has acquired customer accounts from Alarm Specialists of Cocoa, Fla. The purchase adds approximately 1,600 accounts — 60 percent residential and 40 percent commercial — to the ADS Melbourne customer base. ADS launched operations in Florida in 2007 with the acquisition of Advanced Detection Systems.

“Our expansion plan across the Southeast continues to progress with another excellent Florida alarm company,” said John Cerasuolo, ADS president and CEO. “We are proud to be teaming up with Alarm Specialists and look forward to delivering top-notch service to their customers.”

ADS plans to continue its growth. “The year is young,” Cerasuolo said. “We expect that our expansion will continue with at least two more transactions in the coming months.”

The purchase of Alarm Specialists is the fourth purchase for ADS this year, following the acquisition of about 1,300 accounts in Melbourne, Fla.; 3,000 accounts in Sanford, N.C.; and 1,300 accounts in Northport, Ala. These deals have earned ADS a gain of over 7,000 purchased accounts year-to-date. In 2015, ADS acquired security companies in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia totaling approximately 6,500 accounts.

Alarm Specialists customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions; proprietary UL-listed, CSAA Five Diamond monitoring center located in Nashville, Tenn.; and My ADS customer portal with simple online account management.

The purchased accounts will be serviced out of the ADS-Melbourne office located at 4356 Fortune Place in West Melbourne, Fla. Alarm Specialists customers are currently being introduced and welcomed to ADS.
