TRENDnet announced the availability of two Layer 2 managed industrial switches, designed for use in environments with extreme temperatures, heavy amounts of dust, and/or vibrations/shock. TRENDnet expands its existing line of rugged industrial switches with the addition of two Layer 2 managed industrial switches, the 12-port hardened industrial Gigabit PoE+ Layer 2+ managed DIN-rail switch, model TI-PG1284i, and the 6-port hardened industrial Gigabit PoE+ Layer 2 managed DIN-rail switch, model TI-PG541i. Each of TRENDnet’s hardened Layer 2 switches features a full PoE+ power budget, and dual redundant power inputs and alarm relay output to reduce downtime during power failure. The IP30-rated metal enclosure is designed to withstand a high degree of shock, provide surge protection, and operate in a wide temperature range of about -40 deg. to 167 deg. F.
