Sonos announced the company’s first-ever endorsed partner integration program, starting with connected home companies including Control4 Corporation and Crestron.

“We are excited to be part of the new Sonos endorsed partner program,” said Paul Williams, vice president of solutions at Control4. “Control4 believes that every home should be a connected home and we believe this is a great step forward for the entire industry. This integration makes Sonos playlists available throughout the home using a keypad, touchscreen, iOS and Android mobile devices, and even the Control4 hand-held remote.”

The new collaboration also enables the Sonos app to be seamlessly integrated with Crestron home automation systems. Homeowners can now search and stream all of their favorite music on their Sonos home sound system right from Crestron touchscreens, handheld remotes, keypads, and from the Crestron app on popular mobile devices.

“Our new collaboration with Sonos is a big win for Crestron dealers and the upscale homeowners they serve,” said John Clancy, vice president of residential systems at Crestron. “It is now easy to integrate Sonos on any scale, from a single room to an entire estate, into a custom Crestron home automation system. This includes all Sonos metadata, artwork, control options, and the real-time feedback Crestron programmers need to ensure a spectacular user experience in every room.”
