An investigative piece aired September 6 on Inside Edition highlighting deceptive door-knocking sales practices in the security industry. The four-minute piece focuses on security provider Alder, based in Orem, Utah, and shows, through undercover footage, how one of its Louisville, Ky., sales managers trained reps to sell deceptively and then practice takeover tactics by door knocking in local neighborhoods. There is an “ambush” interview between the Inside Edition producer and the sales manager as well as a written statement from Alder.
