Paxton Access, the global manufacturer of IP access control and door entry solutions, has opened a new state-of-the-art center for technology and innovation alongside its current UK head office in Brighton.

The 29,000-sq. ft. Paxton Technology Centre is now home to the company’s product research and development departments and means that it can continue to be at the cutting edge of design and technology within the global security industry.

Paxton has enjoyed rapid growth worldwide and last year continued to invest heavily in the U.S. market. The company more than doubled the size of its technical support team, added a new team of field training engineers and increased its national team of regional sales managers to 10. In 2017, Paxton also began production and assembly of the company’s Net2 access control products from their Greenville, S.C., facility.

Adam Stroud, Paxton’s group chief executive, said, “We are delighted with our new center and feel it’s a real statement of intent showing the direction the company is moving. For over 30 years, we have aimed for engineering excellence, designing and manufacturing intelligent and innovative security products. The investment we continue to make into product research and development enables us to continue to drive innovation within the global security market.”

Stroud continued, “The Paxton Technology Centre is so much more than just a new building for Paxton. It is the physical embodiment of all our hard work, and a symbol of the company’s continued growth and success.”
