Tech Systems’ F.O.C.U.S. Fusion Center has been providing 24/7 support for clients for several years, from centralized dispatch of service technicians to remote diagnostics to monitoring of access control and video surveillance systems. These services coincide with Tech Systems’ ISO-9001 Certified quality management system and ISO-27001 information security management system; however, Tech Systems chose to pursue UL because it is the industry standard for monitoring centers, and it is a highly recognized and reputable certification.

“The UL UUFX standard provides guidelines and requirements around the facility, staffing, technology and processes/procedures for monitoring centers,” said Jerry Cordasco, CPP, PSP. “When we built the Fusion Center in our new location in Buford, Ga., we did so according to UL specifications, but achieving the certification now demonstrates our competency and commitment in the world of monitoring.”

UL UUFX certifies monitoring centers based on the facility’s design and hardening, staffing, systems and demonstrated competency to receive and process alarms effectively.
