Two individuals were taken by surprise when the recipients of the Sarah E. Jackson Memorial Award and the Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year Award were announced at the 2019 ESA Leadership Summit in Austin, Texas, Jan. 28-31.

ESA President Chris Mosley presented the Sarah E. Jackson Memorial Award to Don Childers of Security Central on day two of the convention. The award is selected by the ESA president and honors an ESA volunteer who has exhibited exceptional leadership skills on an ESA committee, task force or board. Childers is the technical training manager at Security Central, and is on the ESA’s board of directors.

Angela White, immediate past president of the ESA, was announced as the winner of the 2019 Morris F. Weinstock Award during Wednesday’s main stage session. Selected by previous award recipients, the Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year Award is given in acknowledgement of the outstanding achievement of an individual and their continued efforts on behalf of ESA and the industry.
