Jim Callahan, CEO of Alert Protective Services of Chicago, announced the acquisition of Sure Security Services of Chicago, a 40-year-old security company.

“These newly acquired customers will strengthen Alert’s growing presence in the Chicago area,” said Callahan. “This is the second acquisition in the last 12 months and we will continue to look for additional opportunities in the Chicago area.”

Former Sure Security owner, Bob Colletti, said, “I’m happy to see our companies come together under the Alert Protective Services brand. This will enhance the security experience for our customers through additional services available via the Alarm.com-connected home platform that Alert installs.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Assisting Sure Security Services in the sale were Steve Rubin and Ken Renko of Davis Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
