Building on the success of the previous nine years, the Mission 500 Security 5K/2K run/walk will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, with proceeds from the fundraiser to help children in need across the United States.

“The Mission 500 Security 5K/2K has been successful over the past nine years, raising over $110,000 in 2018 alone, and this year on its 10th anniversary, our target is to hit the $125,000 mark with your help,” said Tom Nolan, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Mission 500. “The security industry has continued to rally around this meaningful event, which gives participants the opportunity to raise money for a great cause, achieve personal milestones, and have fun with their peers in the process.”

Participants in the Mission 500 Security 5K/2K will be awarded for their performance across various age categories, as well as those companies and individuals who led the fundraising effort. Those who succeed in raising $500 or more will automatically be enrolled in Mission 500’s 500 Club, and be awarded a stylish, travel Bluetooth speaker. The Security 5K/2K Reception and Mission 500’s CSR and Humanitarian Awards Ceremony will take place at 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 11 on the SSN Media stage, located on the second floor of the Sands Convention Center.

The Security 5K/2K is a joint collaboration organized by United Publications, the publisher of Security Systems News, ISC Events, and Mission 500.
