By not only detecting a gun, but matching the gun to the individual through its face-matching application, the AEGIS suite of applications from SN Technologies will continue to track and update authorities when a gun situation occurs, whether or not the gun continues to be visible. This addition to the product will provide extended security and control of unwanted weapons based on the needs of the facility, community or city. The detection solution has an exceptional accuracy rate, exceeding 99.9 percent in normal camera conditions. The company’s AEGIS security solution includes: SENTRY, a facial recognition/face matching solution; PROTECTOR, an “on-the-fly” gun detection software; and MERCURY, a forensic search tool that allows clients to select as many video files as they desire, select who (if a person) the client wishes to search for, or a gun, and then leave the application to run unmanned.
