Allied Universal, a security and facility services company ranked no. 56 on the SDM 100, announced the acquisition of Cypress Private Security LP, a San Francisco-based company offering comprehensive security services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With revenues in excess of $40 million and more than 1,300 employees, Cypress Private Security has been providing a full range of security solutions encompassing armed and unarmed uniformed officers, mobile patrols, loss prevention programs and emergency security consulting since 1996. Headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., Cypress Private Security has offices in Oakland, Calif.; Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; Modesto, Calif.; Los Angeles, Calif.; San Jose, Calif.; Seattle, Wash.; and Las Vegas, Nev. The company’s COO, Jonas Tegnerud, will be joining Allied Universal as director of operations in the Northwest region.
