Siren-Operated Sensor (SOS) introduced two new products designed to ensure emergency vehicles can gain fast access to any gated facility by simply activating the vehicle siren. The first new product, the SOS-12 sensor, is totally redesigned with more features and faster gate opening response time for faster access. It features a new sleek design and color. It also boasts tougher and larger internal gaskets for more protection of electronic components and an up-front microphone that quickly detects a vehicle siren “yelp” for even faster openings. Next, the new SOS-RM remote microphone extends the reach of the SOS-12 sensor. The microphone can be placed up to 50 ft. away from the SOS-12 unit, allowing the SOS-12 unit to be installed in a cabinet inside a guard shack or any other remote location.
