Guardian Protection employees recently participated in a charity initiative to raise funds for Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund which provides care to every child, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

Their goal was to raise $5,000 over four weeks during the first quarter of 2020 through company events like jeans day, a 50/50 raffle and a donut, pizza and cupcake sale. Despite a shortened fundraising period due to the COVID-19 outbreak, they exceeded their goal and raised a total of $5,647 which included a corporate match of $2,500.

“The employees of Guardian are kind and compassionate people who are deeply committed to giving back to the communities they serve,” said Guardian Vice President of Marketing Kevin Bish. “When they set a goal, nothing can stop them — not even a pandemic. The entire leadership team is proud of their efforts to support Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund here in Pittsburgh.”

This is the second year that Guardian Protection has supported Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh through an employee fundraiser. In 2019, the Care and Monitoring Operation (CAMO) spearheaded the initiative, raising over $4000. In 2020, Guardian corporate supported the fundraiser across the corporate and Pittsburgh office locations.
