Trident Fire & Security of Longmont, Colo., recently merged with Secure Source Incorporated of Denver. Alarm Financial Services (AFS) provided financing for the transaction.

Panasonic announced that it will establish a new company to operate its security systems business in Japan and overseas, and that it has reached an agreement for strategic co-investment with Polaris Capital Group. 

ADT has made an asset purchase agreement with Design Systems Group (DSG), a commercial fire and life safety provider in Dallas, Texas. Headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, and founded in 1999, DSG specializes in the design, installation and maintenance of sophisticated fire and life safety systems for some of the most recognizable commercial clients in North Texas. 

Livingstone Partners, an investment banking firm, announced it has advised Hillard Heintze, a provider of strategic security risk management and investigation services, on its sale to Jensen Hughes, a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors. Livingstone acted as exclusive financial advisor to Hillard Heintze.
