The Security Industry Association (SIA) announced two appointments: that Ric McCullough has been appointed as the first chairman of the SIA Executive Council and Chris Peckham has been selected to become the new chair of the SIA Education and Training Committee.
The Security Industry Association (SIA) welcomed a new chairman, announced its 2020 executive committee and added five new members to the SIA board of directors at The Advance, SIA’s annual membership meeting, held virtually today, March 17.
Kirk MacDowell, an executive with a 39-year career in the electronic security industry, has been selected as the new chairman of the board for the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC). SIAC is the industry’s liaison with law enforcement for dispatch reduction and alarm management issues. SIAC’s model alarm ordinance, developed in conjunction with national law enforcement leaders, is being adopted nationwide.
Mark Hillenburg has been named chairman of the associate members’ liaison committee for The Monitoring Association (TMA). Hillenburg is the executive director of marketing at DMP and a longtime member of TMA. As chair of the committee, he will represent associate members on the TMA board of directors.
