The STI steel Web stopper wire guards help protect smoke detectors against vandalism, accidental damage and tampering. The guards feature nine-gauge steel wire with white corrosion resistant polyester coating (also available in stainless steel). The cages are designed to help ensure protected devices are operational, increase the productivity of the units, decrease maintenance costs, reduce time spent replacing broken or stolen units and reduce time spent waiting for parts to arrive. As with all STI protective covers, the cages are backed by a three-year guarantee against breakage in normal use. Covers are for flush or surface-mounted smoke detectors. Installation is simple with included anchors and screws. To provide even greater protection against vandalism, tamper resistant hardware is available.
