STI Wire Guards Help Prevent Damage to Smoke Detectors

Protecting smoke detectors from vandalism and accidental damage is important because they are critical to our safety. STI’s heavy-duty 9-gauge steel web stoppers are UL-listed, corrosion-resistant cages that help protect smoke detectors where abuse is severe. They incorporate a patented web-like octagon shape that simulates a spider’s web for added strength. These easy-to-install stoppers, for flush- or surface-mount applications, allow the LED indicator on the protected smoke detectors to remain clearly visible. Tamper-resistant hardware is available. STI guarantees the guards for three years against breakage in normal use. They are UL-Listed, CSFM and MEA approved. Several smoke detector guard models and sizes are available.
