Shelly Flood Gen4, a versatile smart water leak detector on the market designed to detect water leaks and floods, is now available. The new sensor features an extendable sensor cable for monitoring hard-to-reach or expansive areas and supports Matter, Wi-Fi, Zigbee and local control connectivity for integration into all major smart home ecosystems.

Designed for use across all property types, the Shelly Flood Gen4 alerts users the moment water is detected, sending critical notifications directly to their mobile device via the Shelly app, or by sounding an audible alarm.

Beyond detection and notification, the Shelly Flood Gen4 can be paired with other Shelly devices or integrated into expansive connected systems to unlock powerful automations. When paired with compatible Shelly relays or other connected solutions, this sensor can trigger automations to cut power to appliances such as dishwashers or washing machines the moment a leak is detected. For even greater protection, the Shelly Flood Gen4 can be connected to smart water shut-off valves through supported platforms, automatically stopping water flow at the source the moment a leak is detected. For added customization, the device supports two distinct detection modes, flood and rain.
