Electronic Control Systems LLC/ UltraGuard, Norwalk, Conn., has hired Sabrina Drigout as vice president of marketing. She is responsible for market research, new product requirement specifications, product management, marketing communications, advertising and public relations. Her key expertise is conducting in-depth customer needs identification and research, creating product roadmaps and directing the implementation of new product developments.

VTI Security, Minneapolis, has moved to a new, larger corporate headquarters at 401 W. Travelers Trail, Burnsville, Minn. The 21,000-square-foot facility, twice the size of VTI’s previous headquarters, will provide state-of-the-art production and system staging areas and expanded testing, quality control, custom engineering and design areas. It also will accommodate various size groups for training and executive presentations.

HAI, New Orleans, has won the chairman’s Pinnacle award for outstanding company from the Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA). The awards were chosen by an independent panel of industry judges from a wide roster of nominees and announced at CABA’s 2005 Connected@Home Conference and Expo. “The award winners represented a brilliant group of professionals who have taken immense steps in furthering the industry,” said Ronald Zimmer, CABA president and CEO. “This sends a strong message to our industry that the connected home is not only becoming a reality but a norm.” Jay McLellan, HAI president, replied, “HAI is honored to receive this recognition of our work over the last two decades.
