Safeguard Security and Communications, Scottsdale, Ariz., has received the distinctive Five Diamond certification from the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA).

The prestigious award is attained by having all monitoring personnel complete a certification process approved by the CSAA and demonstrating a commitment to clients and the community. The certification covers all aspects of secure operations center communication, including contact with law enforcement, fire and emergency services, and clients. Of the more than 2,700 central stations across the country, fewer than 100 have attained CSAA's Five Diamond certification.

Among the keys to CSAA certification is demonstrating proficiency in the following areas: alarm verification, emergency preparedness, working with public services such as 911 and detailed knowledge of electronic communications equipment.

"This is an important recognition for Safeguard because it underscores our professionalism and commitment to the people and communities we serve. "Our secure operations center staff plays a vital role in the safety and security of our clients," pointed out Safeguard's CEO John Jennings. "It's important that they be highly trained and capable of handling any situation that comes in. The Five Diamond certification shows that Safeguard's staff operates at the highest standards."
