Hirsch Electronics’ learning center manager, Scott Chillemi, was appointed to serve a two-year term as chair of The Security Industry Association’s (SIA) Education & Training Committee — a non-voting vice president position on SIA’s board of directors. The Education & Training Committee chair is responsible for overseeing efforts and guiding the strategic path in order to provide professional development and training programs for SIA’s member companies and the broader security industry.

The board of directors selected Chillemi not only for his expertise in security and IT training, but also for his experience running the Hirsch Electronics’ learning center, Santa Ana, Calif.

Chillemi has been involved with the SIA Education & Training Committee for seven years, four of them as vice chair, including the development of SIA’s Curriculum Map which uses job role and industry focus to help individuals build personalized professional development curricula.
