Communication Networks of Danbury, Conn., doing business as ComNet, a manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, named Ricardo Acle as the company’s director of Latin America sales. Ricardo is responsible the company’s Latin America sales effort.

According to ComNet, the infrastructure within Latin American is expanding rapidly and the expansion fuels the demand for fiber optic and Ethernet transmission products, which is why ComNet decided to expand its presence in the market and appointed Acle to position the company and expand product sales.

“Latin America offers ComNet a great opportunity for expansion. The demand for fiber optic and Ethernet transmission equipment is strong and will continue to increase as the market evolves. Having the right person to lead the effort is a critical. We believe Ricardo is that person,” said Andrew Acquarulo Jr., ComNet president and chief operations officer.

“This role is a great new challenge for me. At the recent ISC Brazil tradeshow, the interest we encountered in the ComNet product line easily confirmed my decision,” said Acle. “To be given the opportunity to lead ComNet into an important new market with such great potential is a privilege. I look forward to leading ComNet to the same position of prominence we created here in the United States. I will be announcing some very exciting plans in the very near future,” concluded Acle.

Acle will be based out of the western regional ComNet office in Mission Viejo, California. He can be contacted through that office at 949-713-7011 or via e-mail at racle@comnet.net.
