UTC Fire & Security held a press conference yesterday at ASIS Int’l 57th Annual Seminar & Exhibits, where it introduced to the market several new solutions from its brands, and announcements about new Lenel partnerships.

TruPortal, introduced by Interlogix™, is an IP appliance-based solution designed to deliver reliable, high-end technology. It installs quickly and easily out of the box, and is targeted for small to mid-sized commercial installations, according to UTC.

Intended for the over-the-counter market, TruPortal leverages sophisticated technology with a Web-based application requiring no additional server. The system also requires no specialized training and no additional software installation or licensing. TruPortal works seamlessly with the TruVision line of video surveillance recorders and cameras.

“The system also features a companion iPad application that will enable users to remotely monitor system activity and perform basic administration – providing the connectivity required in today’s environment,” said Bob Haskins, president of Interlogix.

UTC Fire & Security also announced that its Lenel Systems Int’l business plans to enter into an alliance with Panasonic System Networks Company, which will provide additional choice to Lenel customers seeking a single source for seamless end-to-end video surveillance solutions. This alliance will leverage the Lenel open architecture design, ensuring the full integration of Panasonic’s latest i-PRO SmartHD cameras with Lenel’s OnGuard® and LNVR software platforms. Lenel will add Panasonic IP surveillance cameras to the Lenel pricebook.

What’s more, Lenel Systems Int’l plans to enter into a bundling agreement with IQinVision under which Lenel will package the newest IQeye standard and HD/megapixel H.264 network cameras with Lenel’s Video Channel License. As part of the agreement, IQinVision IP surveillance cameras will be added to the Lenel pricebook with large cost savings for Lenel’s VARs. More than 50 IQeye IP cameras will be offered as bundling options from Lenel.
