The app provides remote monitoring and forensic capabilities wherever the location. It allows users to save snapshots or video clips to a photo library on their iOS-based device, or send the images via MMS or email for forensic investigation. Users can control PTZ cameras, perform digital zoom functions or search and playback recorded video. VideoEdge Go leverages the industry-leading dynamic bandwidth management functionality of the VideoEdge NVR, providing high-quality video over WiFi, 3G or 4G connections. The app is available as a free download in the iTunes Store.

Interactive Mass Communications Omnilert LLC’s new SMS Inbox is a feature that organizes incoming responses to emergency alerts in a way that helps administrators gain better situational awareness to manage an incident. It allows system administrators to respond to recipients via SMS text messages from the SMS Inbox cloud-based interface.
The company says this marks the first time that students, citizens, first responders, employees and others can reply to text messages alerts and engage in an ongoing dialogue with emergency response administrators to provide information that may affect the response to an emergency, or make requests for assistance during an emergency — all via native text messages. During major incidents when communication systems become overwhelmed, text messaging often proves to be the most effective way, and sometimes only way, to communicate, the company said. The new feature is available to all e2Campus and Amerilert accounts at no additional cost.
Web Portal Redesign Aims to Increase Efficiencies
www.seclock.com, the online home of Security Lock Distributors (SLD), now has a suite of new services available to registered customers. The company said it recognized that its customers would benefit from an online application suite. Therefore, the new web portal is more than an online e-catalog, providing customers with online tools that enable users to streamline the lookup, quotation, procurement, and returns processes.
Wholesale customers may register for a free account at the website and will find more than 1.75 million unique SKUs from more than 88 manufacturers. There are now more than 700,000 PDF files of technical and sales documents available for download.
