Dover, Del.-based systems integrator Advantech Inc. joined Security-Net, bringing the global integration services provider’s membership to 20.

With 23 years in business, Advantech also provides Security-Net with increased geographical coverage in the Mid-Atlantic region. In recent years, the company completed a number of high-profile installations, including a $3 million access control and TWIC project with the Port of Wilmington, Del. The project encompassed numerous disciplines, including installing the fiber and wireless backbone, power distribution, video, access, mobile handheld TWIC readers, thermal imaging cameras, video analytics and perimeter detection. Another project with the University of the District of Columbia involved integrating video, access, intrusion, asset protection, ID badging and offline virtual locksets systems at four campuses, plus the development of a command center.

For three straight years, Advantech was recognized by Honeywell Integrated Security with its “National Dealer of the Year Award,” most recently taking home the honor in 2011. And from 2004 to 2008, the company was named Mid-Atlantic Integrator of the Year by Honeywell Integrated Security.
