Communication Module Offers Alternative to Phone Lines
Given the absence and/or uncertainty of traditional phone lines and the increasing popularity of VoIP Internet phone service and usage, Napco has introduced new Internet/intranet reporting modules that offer alternatives to land lines for alarm panel communication. Designed for use in new and retrofit applications, the NetLink Internet/Intranet TCP/IP Digital Communications Module communicates alarms over a TCP/IP-based network using dynamic IP addressing and can be used for primary and/or backup reporting. The module is available for standard Gemini or GEMC Gemini Commercial and Firewolf Systems. With secure, encrypted full reporting, the module can eliminate the need — and cost — of two dedicated phone lines.
