ADS Security Acquires Professional Alarms Inc.

June 17, 2015
ADS Security, a regional electronic security and automation company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., and ranked 21 on the SDM 100, has acquired customer accounts from Professional Alarms Inc. of Clarksville, Tenn. The purchase adds more than 3,000 accounts to ADS’ Middle Tennessee customer base, growing one of their largest markets to approximately 18,000 accounts. The acquisition comprises 70 percent residential accounts and 30 percent commercial accounts.

“Expanding locally in Middle Tennessee is an important part of our growth plan because this is where we started over 25 years ago,” said ADS president and CEO, John Cerasuolo. “Professional Alarms has also been protecting Middle Tennessee for decades, so we are honored to add them to the ADS family and continue their legacy of outstanding service.”

This acquisition follows ADS’ purchase of five security companies across the Southeast last year, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.

Professional Alarms Inc. customers will have access to ADS’ advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions; proprietary UL-listed1, CSAA2 Five Diamond monitoring center located in Nashville, Tenn.; and My ADS customer portal with simple online account management.

The purchased accounts will continue to be serviced out of the Professional Alarms Inc. Clarksville location at 225 Tenth Street, a new branch office for ADS. Professional Alarms Inc. owner Steve K. Allensworth and his team will be joining ADS.
