BCDVideo released the second-generation of its SMARTcontrol management suite. The system-monitoring package comes standard on all of BCDVideo’s enterprise access control and video recording platforms. The system alerts users when something is wrong and can tell them what is wrong. It makes troubleshooting easy and saves time by indicating what needs attention within the system. The performance panel allows a single-pane view into the system, graphing and logging performance. SMARTalert panel can even prevent failure before it occurs with behavior monitoring, and can be integrated with VMS software. SMARTsupport feature opens a ticket straight to the BCDVideo tech support team or the integrator. SMARTcontrol 2.0 now monitors 24 parameters including CPU, memory, hard drive, network and CPU temperature. The performance panel allows a look into system settings in a single screen, while the performance graph allows a view of the system’s health. The software simultaneously logs past system behavior up to 48 hours to track patterns in system behavior. SMARTvault is a motherboard module that allows integrators to save configuration files.
