ADS Security Acquisition Grows N.C. Market

ads CCS
March 22, 2016
ADS Security (ADS), a regional electronic security and automation company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and ranked 21 on the SDM 100 list, has acquired customer accounts from Central Carolina Security of Sanford, N.C.

The purchase adds approximately 3,000 accounts to the ADS North Carolina customer base, which also includes accounts in Washington, N.C. ADS will retain the Sanford location which marks the twentieth branch for ADS across the Southeast.

“I could not be more excited to welcome Nelson [McDonald, owner of Central Carolina Security] and his team to ADS,” said John Cerasuolo, ADS president and CEO. “He has built a legacy of outstanding service and loyal customers and I am proud he chose ADS to help his team carry on that tradition.”

The purchase of Central Carolina Security is the second purchase for ADS this year, following the acquisition of about 1,300 accounts in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, last month. In 2015, ADS acquired security companies in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia, totaling approximately 6,500 accounts.

Central Carolina Security customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions; proprietary UL-listed, CSAA Five Diamond monitoring center located in Nashville, Tenn.; and My ADS customer portal with simple online account management.

“We at Central Carolina Security are happy to be joining ADS Security,” said owner Nelson McDonald. “We know that together with ADS we can offer an improved experience and wider range of services to our customers for a long time into the future.”

The purchased accounts will be serviced out of the Central Carolina Security office located at 1142 N. Horner Blvd. in Sanford, N.C. McDonald and his team will be joining ADS Security. Central Carolina Security customers are currently being introduced and welcomed to ADS.
