ADS Security (ADS), a regional electronic security and automation company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn. And ranked No. 21 on the SDM 100, has acquired customer accounts from Sanders Security of Dothan, Ala. 

The purchase adds approximately 1,600 accounts — 60 percent residential and 40 percent commercial — to the ADS customer base. ADS will retain the Sanders Security office, establishing it as the seventh branch location for ADS in the state of Alabama and the 21st branch location companywide.

Sanders Security is the fifth purchase for ADS this year, following two acquisitions in Melbourne, Fla., (one of 1,600 accounts and the second of 1,300 accounts); a 3,000-account acquisition in Sanford, N.C.; and a 1,300-account purchase in Northport, Ala. These deals have yielded ADS more than 8,000 purchased accounts year-to-date. In 2015, ADS acquired security companies in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia totaling approximately 6,500 accounts.
 
Sanders Security customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions; proprietary UL-listed, CSAA Five Diamond monitoring center located in Nashville, Tenn.; and My ADS customer portal with simple online account management.

The customer accounts will continue to be serviced out of the current Sanders Security office located at 1036 West Main Street in Dothan, Ala. John Sanders and his team will be joining ADS Security. Sanders Security customers are currently being introduced and welcomed to ADS.
