ADS Security (ADS), a regional electronic security and automation company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., has acquired customer accounts from Branham Security of Elgin, S.C. The purchase adds approximately 1,100 accounts — primarily residential — to the ADS Columbia customer base. ADS opened its first branch in South Carolina in 2014, with the acquisition of American Burglar and Fire Alarms.

“We are so excited to have Eric and his folks join our team,” said John Cerasuolo, ADS president and CEO. “I have been friends with Eric for years and always hoped this day would come. The addition of the great customers and employees of Branham Security will strengthen our presence in South Carolina and help us continue to expand across the Southeast.”

Branham Security is the sixth purchase for ADS this year, following a 1,600 account acquisition in Dothan, Ala.; two acquisitions in Melbourne, Fla. (one of 1,600 accounts and the second of 1,300 accounts); a 3,000 account acquisition in Sanford, N.C.; and a 1,300 account purchase in Northport, Ala. These deals have yielded ADS more than 8,000 purchased accounts year-to-date. In 2015, ADS acquired security companies in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia totaling approximately 6,500 accounts.

Branham Security customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions; proprietary UL-listed1, CSAA2 Five Diamond monitoring center located in Nashville, Tenn.; and My ADS customer portal with simple online account management.

“I have always wanted to be the best alarm company for my customers, and the best in South Carolina,” said Eric Branham, Branham Security owner. “I can now say that I have reached that goal in this merger with ADS Security. They are, simply put, the best security company around.”

The customer accounts will be serviced out of the ADS Columbia office located at 101 Trade Zone Drive, Suite 14A, West Columbia, S.C. Eric Branham will be joining ADS in a consultative role, and his team will be joining ADS Security. Branham Security customers are currently being introduced and welcomed to ADS.
