Convergint Technologies, SDM’s 2012 Systems Integrator of the Year, acquired Utah-based Alphacorp. Founded in 1992, Alphacorp is a full-service provider of security and fire and life safety systems.

With a location in West Valley City, Utah, Alphacorp will expand Convergint’s geographic coverage within Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. All 53 Alphacorp colleagues will be joining the Convergint team, including a team in Boise, Idaho, that will deepen Convergint’s presence in the local region. Alphacorp brings Convergint strong experience in sophisticated systems integration, especially within the healthcare vertical market, Convergint reported in a press release.

Convergint Technologies, ranked No. 2 on SDM's Top Systems Integrators Report, was founded in 2001 and has since experienced strong and consistent growth both organically and through acquisition. With 15 acquisitions in the last two years, Convergint has continually sought to expand its service offering in order to seamlessly meet the needs of its customers. Convergint’s track record of culturally aligned, service-focused acquisitions has been driven by this goal, the company stated.
