Bold Technologies, a provider of alarm monitoring and PSIM software, has contracted a second data center in Los Angeles to host their cloud customer data.

Bold’s hosted cloud solution, Manitou Cloud Services, has experienced exceptional growth since its inception in 2015, necessitating the addition of a second center, the company reported. Bold’s current data center resides in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Bold is working with CoreSite, which manages multiple data centers across the country and hosts some of the largest corporations in the U.S. within its facilities. Bold has contracted space in its One Wilshire data center in Los Angeles, which, Bold reported, is considered one of the most secure and network-dense data centers in the world.

One Wilshire will provide Bold’s Manitou Cloud Services customers with low-latency connectivity and network resiliency with a 100 percent uptime. Shaun Blair, Bold’s director of SaaS, said, “One of the biggest advantages to choosing this facility is that it also hosts our telco provider. By being in the same physical location, we are now able to eliminate a point of failure and increase connectivity speed for our Cloud customers.”

Blair is currently finalizing the hardware requirements for the One Wilshire location, and expects it to be ready for service early in the 2nd quarter of 2018.
