Guardian Protection Services, a provider of smart home and business security ranked no. 5 on the SDM 100, is pleased to welcome the following individuals to the Guardian management team. 

John Olon has joined the company as chief financial officer. Olon most recently was CFO at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania and prior to that, vice president, financial planning and analysis at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Olon received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University. He is also a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University. 

Darren Crawford has joined Guardian in the role of vice president and general manager of business sales, including oversight of all commercial and national chain accounts. Crawford has 25 years of experience in the security and life safety industry and began his career at Alarmguard Security Inc. He went on to found Chesapeake Security Systems Inc., serving as its president for six years. Immediately prior to joining Guardian, Crawford was regional sales manager and U.S. sales manager, respectively, for Tyco Security Products’ DSC division. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Salisbury University and is a former reservist with the 512th Airlift Wing of the United States Air Force.
