Today, ADT, a provider of monitored security and interactive home and business automation solutions in the United States and Canada, is rolling out the ADT Command Panel & Control Platform (ADT Command) nationwide.

Building on the award-winning ADT Pulse platform, which was introduced in 2010, ADT Command offers a rich feature set customized to address customers’ lifestyle and needs, while increasing operational efficiencies. The slick-looking 7-inch wireless touchscreen panel can be wall-mounted or conveniently unbound, and is equipped with smart home capabilities that help customers protect and automate their homes from anywhere, at any time.

“At ADT we are dedicated to security and leveraging technology to meet the needs of the evolving smart home industry while bringing the best in-home protection to our customers,” said Jim DeVries, chief executive officer of ADT. “That is why almost ten years after launching Pulse, which today is being used by approximately 2.5 million customers, we are launching the next generation home security automation system which again will set the standard in our industry while helping our customers stay safe and secure both at their homes and on the go.”

ADT Command customers receive ADT’s professional monitoring and emergency response, backed by thousands of employees and 12 monitoring centers, providing 24/7 protection, 365 days a year. Key features include:

  • Convenience and Smart Security: Know who is arriving home and when, with the 7-inch wireless, touchscreen Command panel that snaps a photo when the system is disarmed using its built-in camera. By creating dynamic scenes and rules, your smart home devices work in harmony to help keep your family safe. For example, in case of a fire, the system can be connected to the thermostat, lights and doors, making it easier and safer for everyone to get outside.
  • Enhanced Safety and Sensors: Keep your home connected 24/7 with the panel’s battery backup with dual path Broadband and LTE cellular communications. In addition, ADT Command features two-way encryption RF sensor technology as well as a multi-criteria sensor with built-in detectors for smoke, carbon monoxide and heat. The new sensor technology also features “one go, all go” functionality so that families in multi-story homes can be alerted quickly, regardless of  where in the home the alarm originates.
  • Technologically Advanced: The app’s geofencing technology generates helpful automations and alerts to trigger events, with reminders such as arming the security system when you leave the house. ADT Command gets its name because of built-in voice command capabilities. The voice control technology allows you to easily control your system simply with your voice. ADT Command is also equipped with language capabilities for English, Spanish and French.
  • Control at your Fingertips, Anytime and Anywhere: Use the Control app to carry out preset automations when you leave or arrive home, allowing you to remotely arm or disarm your system. From virtually anywhere, you can rest easy knowing your doors are locked, your lights are on or off and your home is more secure. You can even watch live video and images from your mobile phone, tablet or smart watch, so you can stay connected to your home.

In addition to the availability of ADT Command, ADT will begin rolling out new ads next week, featuring DIY and home renovation experts Drew and Jonathan Scott, who have partnered with ADT to highlight the importance of trusting professionals when it comes to home security combined with the real protection ADT provides customers wherever they are. The broader partnership with the Scott Brothers, who are longtime ADT customers, was initially unveiled during ADT’s first-ever Super Bowl ad in February, and this next phase features Drew and Jonathan in “man on the street”-style ads, surprising and shoppers to uncover DIY fails and determine when things are best left to the experts.
