STI’s heavy-duty 9-gauge steel web stoppers are constructed with a corrosion resistant polyester coating and help protect smoke detectors where abuse is severe. They are called steel web stoppers because they incorporate a patented web-like octagon shape that simulates a spider’s web for added strength. These easy-to-install cages, for flush or surface mount applications, allow the LED indicator on the protected smoke detectors to remain clearly visible. For added protection against abuse, tamper resistant hardware is available. STI guarantees the guards for three years against breakage in normal use. They are UL Listed and MEA approved. Several smoke detector guard models and sizes are available along with a variety of additional wire guards for motion detectors, emergency lights, clocks, cameras and more.
